how do you search for groups on facebook? I can look for people and search to become fans of people, but how do u search to become fans of THINGS or new groups?

Manpreet replied: "on the top right hand corner of the facebook page, next to the button 'Log out" you will see like a grey box with the words Search which you can use for searching people right? type in your desired group name for example, the I hate Miley Cyrus group. then, you will see a list of items, maybe some pages, maybe some people, and maybe some groups. just click on the one you want. if you cant find it, on the page, underneath where your search is written, there is like a series of buttons with "all results" "pages" "Groups: and etc. Click on the "group" one in this case, and all the 'I hate Miley Cyrus groups will show. i.hAve.nO.liFe♥(: replied: "not suree, but i think it depends on popularity and relevance like if you search "bob smith" and you are friends with a bob smith, the that particular bob smith will show up first. if you have 50 friends that are friends with another bob smith, or live in the same town as him, he will probably be up higher on YOUR personal search. from there, i think it is whichever bob smith has the most friends or is closer linked to you. so, to get a group to show up higher, i think that by getting a lot of people to join and invite all their friends, you will have a better chance of more people seeing it, if that makes sense... just make it reallly popular (: haha good luck"

Why doesnt my facebook group show up on search? I have two facebook groups. Both of them have over 10.000 users. Why dont they show up on the search? I have checked all the settings and they are fine (open). I tried to create a new group and see if it ends up in the search, it didnt. My friend tried with his account and had the same problem. I think its on Facebook's end. Anyone else having problems with this?

I created Bright Gem group in facebook. However when I search groups Bright Gem it does not show up :( only a? shows up as a link at the bottom of the page when Aisha Alireza wrote on the wall. I am advertising "join us at facebook bright gem group for updates but if htey can't find it !!! its useless to ask people that. None of us know how to fix it. thanks!!! Three to four days later it showed up as a group correctly. I'm happy now. thanks everyone.

Why Can't I Search People/Groups/ETC on Facebook? I've been trying to search a person on the facebook people search, and i started 8:30 and it's 9:41 and it still hasn't finished. ar f replied: "It's possible that either your system is down on your computer/laptop. Make sure you have good connection and that nothing is wrong. If you are using Internet Explorer, make sure that you have the most updated version. Try this link to download the newest one if you haven't: hopefully you will be able to click on that! If you're in mozilla, do the same thing. If you are in Google Chrome, try downloading a new browser from there. If you are on Safari, make sure you have an updated version as well. If none of this works, try restarting your computer, even though it is a pain! Facebook could also be "down". Try texting/calling a friend or family member to see if their facebook is down as well. If theirs is alright, then there is either something going on with your personal account, or something going wrong with your comupter. I hope I helped!"

Why is my Facebook group not in the search results? I started a Facebook group two weeks ago and it isn't in the search results, my profile isn't in the search results either. I've contacted Facebook support and they came up with this response: "We are aware of the problem that you described and hope to resolve it as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience. Let me know if you have any further questions." Is anybody able to tell me clearly why neither the group nor profile are in the search results? Thanks, Steve.

twingal01 replied: "Hi, it could be you set your group as hidden, you will have to go back to your group by clicking groups on your left hand menu and then go to edit and make sure its public."

Vonnie replied: "Given that both your group AND profile aren't showing up in the search results proves that it has nothing to do with whether or not you made the Group public, since your Profile is affected as well. Just wait for Facebook administration to get back to you. If they know what the problem is I'm sure they can fix it."

How to search friends in a facebook group? I tried to locate my old classmates from facebook (school) groups. However, these groups are big and it's impossible to scan each page by page.

fiza j replied: "so bascially if you fo on facebook ...there is a white search boc called "Search"...its on the right top corner ....rite beside the logout option....just type in the group name....and be a member of that group by selecting the option saying "JOin the Group" and if you want to see the other members of the group....it will be displayed on the main page of the group u joined....Usually on the right side....Does that help?"
