Questions and Answers
Has the movie "Like Dandelion Dust" been released? I am a huge fan of Karen Kingsbury, and I noticed on her site that the book "Like Dandelion Dust" is being made into a movie. I looked it up on IMDB, but didn't have any luck with finding a release date. Is the movie already out? If not, will it be soon?

Jik replied: "It has not been released yet, right now there just playing it at film festivals and I read somewhere that they are aiming for a possible september release but I can't find anything to confirm that."

What makes the Dandelion yellow? What family of flower is it from? Ever wonder what sort of flower our spring/summer friend is? What makes it yellow, then make it a dust of tiny seeds blowing in the wind to populate fields next season? What is that sticky glue looking ooze when you pick the tuberous flower?

grandma replied: "They are in the aster family, what makes them yellow?>>God. Believe it or not the seeds are actually sold in some places for an edible crop. Thick leaves are blanched and eaten like endive, Tender young leaves may be eaten in salad. My grandfather made wine from them but the recipe is long lost.I personally love them, I think the fields that are dotted with them in the spring sing with color! God Bless Grandma"

Sara replied: "don't know, but the whole plant is edible - brought, i was told, to America as a vegetable crop and then, well, so successful, that it is now found just about everywhere, not just in garden rows. i've seen people growing it in greenhouses, for salads, too."

Are any of these benefit products worth buying? california kissin' that gal erase paste miss popularity play sticks (jax) you rebel bluff dust dandelion eyecon f.y..eye CORALista Creaseless cream shadow/liner (peach parfait) Powderflage Dr. feelgood I know it's a lot. I'm not getting them all. I wanna see which ones are good before i get them. :) Sameee. I LOVE Benefit's packaging. So amazing.

ohlala replied: "They're okay products. I'm a sucker for packaging so that's the only reason I would."

frmda619 replied: "if you go to macys online and look at the benefit makeup people have written reviews on the makeup it helped me like a ton! "

Miss moon replied: "benefit's f.y.eye was mu introduction to shadow bases, i think it's a fabulous product. i use the non-fiction foundation and eye brights pencil everyday. oh and their badgal blue is one of the best mascaras out there. benefit totally got me hooked on makeup, now i'm a huge fan of urban decay....great eye products! happy shopping!"

is this a good staple diet for my bearded dragon? Collard Greens Dandelion Greens Mustard Greens all mixed together and for protein crickets and silkworms dusted every 5 days oh and another question when I feed him the greens do I need to chop off the stems first he is 6 years old

inline_k9 replied: "I would give him some varied fruit and vegetables grated up. Greens are not enough and make sure you dust everything with calcium/multi V powder. There are also Bearded Dragon pellets available as well if you would like to offer him something different."

SPend_day replied: "its not bad really and ive see a hell of a lot worse you've clearly done your homework. but as above i would put in some different veg every now and again (maybe once a week)"

Mel replied: "It really depends on how old your beardy is. When they're really young they need more protein than fruits and veggies (although you should always give both) and this shifts over time. Towards the end of their lifespan they will almost exclusively eat fruits and veggies. Also, make sure you are dusting the food w/ a vitamin/calcium supplement, it's really important. I used to give my beardy a combo of the greens you mentioned plus other fruits and veggies. When he was a year old though, he would only eat a little bit of that stuff but would eat up to 100 large crickets a day. It was insanity. I was constantly buying crickets!"

JW replied: "go to this websight it has a color coded sheet on what you can feed your beardie. I actually printed it out and made a schedule on what to feed them on which days. good luck but you are already doing a good job just add a little more variety."

Are you a clutter-bug or a neat freak.. and do you care what others think of your homestead? Do you have the prim and proper weed-free lawn that has the designs like a baseball field.. or do you have dandelions popping up everywhere on beds of clover? Is your house always kept tidy, dust-free, with magazines and coffeetable books arranged alphabetically or by size for your guest to look through.. or do you have corners in the house that tend to gather the clutter with stacks of magazines and odds and ends that are kept company by a few small cobwebs? Is your garage organized or it is the one place you won't let your guest visit so they don't see where you stuff all the "junk"? What happens when you have unexpected guest just show up or are invited over for later? Do you really care what anyone else thinks of how you prefer to live? Or do you feel you have to be a certain way to feel accepted or to accept yourself? Why do you feel that way?.. was it in your upbringing? Or In spite of it? Or have you never really thought about it at all?

malik replied: "i dont care wat no1 thinkz of my house cuze they dont want me to git on they nasty house."

laurieanne72 replied: "I do not care what anyone else thinks of my house. That being said, I am neither a neat freak nor clutter bug. I would say I am in between. I always keep up with the dusting and washing of sheets and towels because of my allergies. I also make sure my bathrooms are cleaned regularly.I run my dishwasher almost every day. Everything else I don't worry too much about. I am not even worried if I wear my jeans for two days in a row:)"

CuddlyFool replied: "I am definitely a clutter-bug but when I know someone is coming over I try to clean up."

slysimon69 replied: "im a clutter bug ..lol but it isnt dirt its mess..;) i like to have things to hand so my bookshelves are rammed my cupboards are rammed and generally there is stuff on the sideboards , but my kitchen has to be spotless , i like my house the way it is because i dont have to run round constantly cleaning ...i just generally keep it tidy and mean generally BUT ...if i know people are coming or a unexpected knock i do like to clear up a bit just to give impression its perfect .. open the cupboard tho n watch everything fall out when they leave..lol"

richardkumm replied: "I very much care about my apearance and my house I do collect junk and can get alittle clutteery sometimes but I ten organize it to int neat arrangements it is a flucuation but for the purposes of you study Yes I care I clean and straighten semi-regularly appearence and helth and safety are important to me I which to express thje joy and happiness of clean living to others as well such as you for instance"

bbowne2001 replied: "I'm a clutter-bug and i rarely have anyone over, and when i do i clean like crazy!!!"

Coupe60 replied: "I would say we fall somewhere in the middle. My youngest son (7)is a walking tornado creating a path of devastation and havoc in any room that he enters. The rest of us generally clean up enough to keep the house reasonably presentable. This makes it possible for us to perform the famed "whirlwind Someone is coming over we gotta get this house cleaned up now" routine that my wife has turned into an artform. We always strive to get more organized, but can never seem to find the time to truly get there (maybe a cop out excuse)..."

rakcl replied: "i'm more of a clutter-bug, though my mom & sis are neatfreaks. i leave my stuff anywhere in my room, as long as i could find them easily when i need them. i perefer that way rather than having someone cleaning up my room but i can't find my stuff. i usually clean up my room before my guest arrive, or if it's a last minute thing, i'll clean up to make my room a bit tidier i don't really care what others think, 'cos i just wanna enjoy my life :) worrying what others might think or say would only waste my time"

damnbrat57 replied: "MOST THINGS ARE PUT IN THEIR PLACES...BUT ANYONE IS COMFORTABLE TO PUT THEIR FEET UP ON THE COFFEE TABLE, OR DRAPE A LEG OVER THE SIDE OF A CHAIR IF THEY FEEL LIKE IT. MY HOME IS OLD, MY FURNISHINGS ARE COMFORTABLE AND CASUAL, I POLISH THE WOOD 1X MONTHLY, FEATHERDUST A FEW OTHER TIMES A MONTH. BATHROOM IS ALWAYS CLEAN THO. DISHES ARE ALWAYS WASHED AND PUT UP BY THE NEXT DAY. COUNTERS ARE ALWAYS WIPED DOWN, NEVER ANY FOODSTUFF LEFT TO SIT OPEN AND UNCOVERED/JUST HABIT. CATCH AS CATCH CAN FOR VACUMING AND GOSH-FORBID DEEP CLEANING. MY DRAWERS ARE VERY NEAT, AND I HAVE ONLY 1 "JUNK DRAWER" IN MY KITCHEN FOR JUNK..AND EVEN THIS IS VERY NEAT. YOU COULD EAT OFF MY KITCHEN TABLE WHICH IS VERY CLEAN, BUT AS FOR EATING OFF THE FLOOR...WELL--I WOULDN'T SUGGEST THAT! AS FAR AS COMPANY GOES: THEY COME OVER TO SEE ME, NOT TO VIEW "HOMES ON PARADE"..THEY KNOW ME AND HOW I AM."

red_red_read replied: "I am embarassed to have people come over to my house. Nothimng matches, stuffis all over the place. We have mismatched furniture, months of magazines, trash bags filled with toys. We even had to turn one of our bedrooms into a store room to keep our "stuff"."

blakgal11 replied: "the majority of the time I am a neat freak, but when I'm lazy i tend to get messy, but hey dont we all, were only human. I dont car what people say nor think cuz its only an opinion and the only thing that matters is the facts. No ones perfect and if you are you need to get a life!!"

Ryans Mom replied: "I'm a neat freak hiding in a sloppy joe's body. I drive myself crazy! And yes, it does matter when company comes over, I stress about it if things aren't perfect!"

Miss Demanda replied: "I like things to be organized, clean, and yet still comfortable. I am somewhat of a germ-phobe so I tend to disinfect things a lot. But I am not one of those psycho people who get all upset if a book is out of place. I don't want people to feel uneasy in my home, but I also don't want them to think it's dirty in any way. I have put thought into this because my boyfriend is pretty much the exact opposite of me in this sense. Clutter doesn't bother him at all. Maybe he is that way because his mom used to make him clean a lot. As for me, I don't really know why I am the way I am. Being around dirt or clutter REALLY stresses me out."

Is anyone else glad Christmas Day is over? I will be glad to put away the decorations, dust the house, change the furniture around and wait for the first green bud on the trees and a small little dandelion to pop through the ground! Come Spring!

leopardshaz replied: "Yup and dont forget TOP UP THE TAN am as grey as the sodding turkey was!!!!"

lishia_whitworth replied: "I am.. except for the fact that I have to go back to work tomorrow!"

Just love me for me..... replied: "yep i'm sure glad lol"

Jaadu C replied: "LOVE it bc it's a time for a new year, new things to occur, and the wait/emancipation of christmas/december begins again :P"

Janna G replied: "yes but i wouldn't mind more stuff"

wishiwas replied: "I want spring too! The stores will be putting out the tents and lawn chairs as early as next week! Yes!"

DemolitionLover<3 replied: "Nope im sad for the time being as we still have long winter months before spring. What do we have to do until then. Its too cold :("

Lincoln6 replied: "Christmas was better before it was commercialized."

jags20_us replied: "Yes i am.. Stuck all day in my room as i am new here.. Glad will go to work tomm"

sarah replied: "yep!!! i hatechristmas, it has totally lost its touch. it used to mean so much more than presents. i have had enough of buying and recieving presents."

john g replied: "To answer your main question, no I'm not particularly glad Christmas day is over: we had a really nice one. I agree with you though, I'm looking forward to the (theoretically) warmer weather of spring to arrive."

RENEE915 replied: "I am kind of glad. Though it was fun this year with my 3 and 1/2 year old newhew. Till next year!!!"

pissy_old_lady replied: "I am still enjoying the holidays....not tired of it yet."

alcaholicdemon replied: "good golly yes, bring on the new year.it never seemed like christmas here in dixie where it never snows.i miss the northern snowey ones."

mhmm replied: "im glad its over too but because the stores will all open and there wont be a bunch of people everywhere."

Eileen B replied: "In a way but in another way I feel like I've been doing so much to make it so special for my kids and others and I'm having a hard time unwinding and I feel like " It's over...really, already??"

My D replied: "yes Im very happy, im even hard"

Christopher45 replied: "Yeah I am glad it's over. Not really into Christmas but it was ok."

Samsara replied: "Yes I am."

Annamae replied: "Yes. We had a wonderful Christmas. But I'm glad it's over, so I can get back to normal. We all had too much Christmas."

Gypsy Gal replied: "Yes I am tired"

ndnquah replied: "Yes, This is the best Christmas I've had in a long time. I had my son and his wife and 2 kids and my other 3 grandkids over and we had a wonderful fun time!! Got out the picture box and laughed and had so much fun!!! In answer to your question I am glad it's over when I hear the phone ring to hear them say they made it home safely!!!"

DR W replied: "All good things (and bad) must come to an end."

pat.moor replied: "I am not glad , more like relieved. All went well and everyone is okay. I too look forward to spring and cleaning and re-arranging things to look fresh and new.Spring is my favorite time of year."

slk29406 replied: "It is such a long, long time til spring. It is only the 4th day of winter. At least the homes were cheery while it is dreary outside."

Isadora replied: "We actually had a really nice, low-key family Christmas, and as I didn't get my decorations up until last week due to the delay because of our ice storm, I am still not tired of them yet. I will leave them up until Jan 2, and then down they come and the house gets cleaned for the New Year. Then for me the holdays are officially over, and I can be looking for that new bud too (Hellebores blooming in a week or so, winter jasmine in Jan. and crocuses blooming at the end of the month, and a pink violet that blooms all winter long!)"

Scooter replied: "Almost there... but not quite... trying to make this day a better day for us all..."

Jack P replied: "Being able to go to town and not hear Christmas carols and have strangers parrot, "Merry Christmas to you" when you hold the door open for them and their shopping cart or while you're waiting in line is going to be pretty nice. Instead, the strangers will now just order one another to have a nice day, which I find more palatable."

curious connie replied: "I am glad it over. It's a great time of year and I like seeing the children so excited and happy. However, I am sick to death of the commercials on TV, the fact that TV is so lousy anyway, and the constant talk about Christmas. It would be OK if they didn't start before Halloween!!! They sure didn't have any good Christmas specials on this year either."

MxdCherokeeGurl replied: "Yes, because people should really learn to celebrate the life and legacy of Jesus Christ 24/7/365!!!"

sage seeker replied: "Actually I thought that was how I'd feel, but it turned out to be a wonderful day with my family AND I learned my son and his wife are expecting their first child in May!"

sniggle replied: "I am glad. I love the season. I work in a restaurant that is open Christmas day. We had some very rude people this year. I had one table where the little girl spilled her orange juice. She said her Daddy was going to spank her when they got. home..She was crying. ruined my day"

Jersey Girl In Exile replied: "Yes! I hate it. It's all work, work, work.........cooking, cleaning, shopping, wrapping, making everyone happy. I hate this stupid holiday. I'm glad it's over. Bah! Humbug!"

DiamondDeb replied: "Me. Christmas will be down tomorow."

♥ Shortstuff ♥ replied: "It's always nice for the holidays to be over & have life get back to normal."

Dinah replied: "Yes indeed."

noonecanne replied: "Whew! I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one! Winter is in full throttle here, but I'm glad that I have my small greenhouse to visit. I need to put on my boots and waddle through the snow to get there, but inside it is so colorful and warm. I received a few seed catalogs in the mail the other day, and once the new year begins and things are put away, I will start looking through those catalogs and begin my plan for the spring."

biscuit replied: "Yep, though I enjoyed it. Just want to get back into scruffy clothes, clear away the autumn rubbish to reveal the tips of spring bulbs. Its now 5 days since the shortest day...so its getting lighter bit by bit. But first, we have to get through today's family gathering....oh hum."

Tc and Bj replied: "All the hype and madness of seeing Christmas stuff in the shops for the past 3 months got a bit draining. But hey, the Boxing Day Sales have started today and they will be quickly followed by the January Sales (although they should be renamed to "The Week Before New Year Sales") We'll then all be subjected to the Easter eggs in stores and Valentine's Day over-priced goodies!! LOL. We are looking forward to Springtime when the crocuses and daffodils poke through the hard soil and bring some colour to our garden. We love watching Mother Nature re-awakening from her Winter sleep. New life. xx"

Maw-Maw replied: "I am glad it is over. The cooking and going place to place gets to me.One of these years I am saying come to me.....And mean it.The in-laws come first in this family..."

Ron replied: "Yes, I am."

J.S. replied: "People voicing their opinion on a card game is NOT a valid reason for reporting. What you report must be a direct attack at you, contain obscene and innapropriate language or be illegal. Use less spell and traps."

Zak replied: "U shud run sum life point recovery which is key to inject fairy lily and also a couple emergency escape buttons which are oerfect for spirit decks with inject fairy"

Dominator19 replied: "I have to say that this deck is very good, just a bit too many cards. You should have about 45 at the most. Cards to take out: Injection Fairy Lily (It just lowers your LP too much for one attack) Level Limit - Area B (As you have a lot of cards that reduce sacrifices for summoning higher level monsters, all that hard work will be useless if you play this) Sangan (Unfortunately, I have heard that it is going to be banned anyway) Apart from a few weaker effect cards this deck could be brilliant."

I have a springer spaniel? She eats or destroys everything in the house which is below waist level.TV remotes, mobiles. When cleaning, she even eats the dust, she is also keen on eating cig ash. When outside she eats wild fowl. I hate the summer for she is always eating dandelion seeds. I would be gratefull for any answers

jeniel17 replied: "HI! I just got a springer spaniel she's three months old and what i'm doing is I keep her on a leash right now to teach her whats acceptable and whats not. I also just bought a bitter apple product to make her stop grabbing everything she sees. Their mouths is how they learn whats around them so you should understand that. You need to work with her more keep her on a leash or close to you. Anything YOU touch the dog thinks youre mouthing since they think our hands is their mouth. So work with your dog it takes time and patience! You'll get there!"

Werecow replied: "You don't mention your dog's age, but that could be a factor. Young springers -do- get into everything. We've bred and owned many over the years, and they eat the darndest things! Pencil erasers, tea bags, the styrofoam "carry out" containers from restaurants... We had two that would even try to eat rusty chains and bricks. Of course, you should never discount a possible dietary deficiency. They'll sometimes eat odd things in an attempt to get some nutrient they're not receiving from their regular food, or perhaps they have a metabolic problem that prevents them from processing a specific nutrient properly. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have her checked by your vet. Does she destroy things in the house only when you're not around? She may have a separation anxiety. Or...perhaps she's just bored. Make sure she gets plenty of exercise outside, so she'll sleep well when she's inside, and will be less tempted to eat your house. English Springers are great dogs, especially ones close to the original English stock. They're a joy to own, and even more so after behavior and eating habit issues have been dealt with :)"

baiang0524 replied: "Is it possible something is missing from her diet? Try a different food and see what happens. Good Luck."

Chinchilla owners please help? My chinchilla's eye keeps getting matted shut every once in a while how do i keep it from closing Hes on 2 years old i feed him charlie chinchilla food and timothy hay and dandelion drops he has a 4 level cage and a dust bath house o ya and water and i have a place for him to use the bathroom at the very bottom but with this white stuffing type stuff lol if there is anything wrong with the stuff i give him tell me

Keith replied: "Hair matting can be caused by getting wet. Check for leaks with his water bottle. Beware, getting wet can cause fungus problems."

little missy replied: "there's nothing wrong with what you are giving him, maybe he's getting water in it, or maybe he's got a slight eye infection? i don't know why it would do that. i have a 2yr old female and her eyes don't ever matt up so i don't know why they would do that. sorry i couldn't help more."

Kristy replied: "If his eye keeps matting shut he will need a vet it could be a respiratory infection or teeth problems. If you go to they have vet listings. The eye being matted shut is not normal. As for the food timothy hay is good. Charlie chinchilla is a poor quality food and is not good for them. Acceptable feeds are Mazuri, Tradition, Oxbow, Nuetrena nature wise, PANR and the dandelion drops are a waste of money. He may be having a reaction to the stuffing stuff the best thing to use in the bottom of the cage is Pine shavings or Aspen."

you are the destroyer of worlds! replied: "I don't think there is anything wrong with the items he has. The best thing to do is to take him to the vet when his eye is matted. Then, they can tell you what is wrong and give you medicine to give him. Good Luck and I hope everything works out well."

Benefit Cosmetics? are these benefit cosmetics are good? you're bluffing bluff dust big beautiful eyes rush hour 10 powder pop (a palette of dandelion blush, Dallas and Hoola bronzer) slant powder brush galactic shield thrrrob lust dusters justine case foundation brush pink to please a woman....gold to get the guy! yeah, i knnow thats a lot, but those are the ones that i might wanna buy. if you wanna see them go to the benefit website:>
bella234 replied: "i love benefit in general and i have a lot of their products all good. bluff dust and is good but really doesnt make all that much difference. not worth the price anyway. also the powder pops are all good but i like dandelion"

cavy cat replied: "I've got: Lemon aid (eye primer) - Very thick and yellow but if you warm it up in between your hands it goes on smoother. It looks good alone and helps your eyeshadow stay on all day. Hollywood Glo - This is a bronzer/glow, you dab it on cheeks and sides of forehead for a glittery golden glow. Its a fun piece of makeup to own but I dont use it often because i'm pale and Its wintertime. But its lovely. Peach facial powder - I use this all the time its worth the price. Gives your skin a healthy peachy color (not obvious at all especially on my pale skin) and gets rid of shine. Apply over foundation. You Rebel - this is a tinted moisturizer with spf, if you're pale like me it goes on like a medium tan, and then eventually dries to look less obvious. Its great for summer I will be buying another tube here in a few months. Apply with Benefits foundation brush (I also own one of these I use it everyday) Speed Brow - I have the medium shade. This is probably my fav. brow tool. Brow Zings - Includes a dark brown colored wax and medium brown colored powder to tint your brows and to fill in the empty patches to make them look more even and shapely. I think thats all... cant remember what else I have. Anything you buy from Benefit is gonna be expensive, but the packaging is by the far the most attractive I've seen. It definately has PERSONALITY. Its feminine and glamorous. My #1 fav. makeup brand next to M.A.C."
