How do I stop yahoo messenger update from poping up on my trillian? I upgraded to yahoo messenger because I kept getting pop-up update notifications, and disabled the yahoo toolbar that downloaded along with the update. Now every time my Trillian starts I get a pop-up to update Yahoo messenger (which I already did) and a yahoo admin contact embeds itself in my Trillian. How do I stop these annoying features without getting rid of Yahoo alltogether?

How do you share your display image using yahoo messenger to windows live messenger? My friends using yahoo messenger can see my display image nicely but the ones using windows live messenger only see a grey smiley. I have 'share my display image' ticked in the options thing. Moreover, I can't see their (windows live messenger using people) display images either.

How do I stop Yahoo messenger pop ups telling Messenger is on another Computer and error report is requested? Pop ups keep occuring because another computer is using Yahoo Messenger. The Messenger has been deleted, supposedly from all computers, and there is no sharing. I can't find Yah Messenger on the computer used. Our cimputers share a common router.

r0ckster replied: "If you are using the New yahoo mail it has messenger built into it and if someone logs into it with the same ID as you are logged into it with from another PC then you will still get that warning even if you have uninstalled the regular messenger. Up at the top of the email page next to your name you can click on where it says Available and change it to offline. To avoid this in the future you can have one PC with the new mail and the other PC with the Classic version on it."

How do I delete Yahoo messenger from my computer without deleting my yahoo email account? Since I installed yahoo messenger it has slowed down my computer. I want to de-install it, but cannot easily find ot how to do that. I do not want to accidentally de-install my yahoo email at the same time.

d3midway replied: "Yahoo messenger should not slow your computer down. I have always had YIM and my computer does not run slow. Delete temporary files, history, cookies, saved passwords, and web form info, defrag, also run a virus scan all of this will make your computer run slow. If you still want to delete YIM go to your control panel and click on uninstall programs and click on YIM and it will uninstall it for you. Hope this helps!!!"

Dim replied: "its very simple to do it.go in control panel..there go in add and remove.there u can remove easily ur yahoo messenger without any hassles.don't worry your e mail account will not get deleted by this .if your computer slowed down after u installed yahoo messenger it might be because many other un useful programmer's will be occupying place in ur memory,or your ram must be of old version...so u can remove them too the same way and then reinstall yahoo.messenger(if u want)...so u can chat too.have a good day!"
